    This is an exact duplicate of the U.S. Cavalry shanks patented in the mid 1850's. This is a heavy bit for good feel. It is well balanced with a long purchase for fast response and lots of lift.This mouth is excellent for injured tongues. It applies pressure to the outside of the bars for better control and lots of headset.
